US President Barack Obama visited Istiqlal Grand Mosque in Jakarta in what has been described as a gesture of friendship to Muslims.
Local broadcaster TV One reported at 8.25 a.m. on Wednesday that Obama and his wife Michelle had arrived at the mosque after leaving the Shangri-La Hotel.
Indonesia is home to the world’s largest Muslim population..
